Principal Interior Designer

About the role

We are launching a dedicated Interior Design Division and need a Principal Interior Designer to lead, build and scale the new vertical. This senior‑level position will own the design strategy, client consultations, contractor management and overall project execution, reporting directly to company leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic leadership and business development: create standardized workflows, design standards, service packages and set growth goals, pricing and budget guidelines.
• Design and client consultation: conduct in‑depth consultations, develop concepts, mood boards, space plans, 3D renderings and material specifications, and present proposals to secure contracts.
• Project execution and contractor management: oversee end‑to‑end delivery, manage site visits, resolve construction challenges, source FF&E and coordinate with vendors, trades and general contractors.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional interior design experience delivering residential or commercial projects from start to finish.
• Hands‑on experience on active construction sites, reading architectural plans and collaborating with trade contractors.
• Strong client‑facing and presentation abilities, able to consult, build trust and close inquiries.
• Leadership mindset: self‑motivated, organized and capable of running a business unit independently.
• Portfolio showcasing complete projects with before/after photos, technical drawings and concept boards.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with SketchUp.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with Chief Architect.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using 3D rendering software.
