Principal Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, design and development of our most complex Android solutions. In this senior position you will shape long‑term technical strategy, mentor engineers and ensure our products stay ahead of market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive architecture and design for high‑impact native Android applications.
• Lead development and testing efforts, ensuring scalability, maintainability and adherence to best practices such as MVVM/MVI and SOLID.
• Set technical direction, create software specifications and oversee implementation across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior engineers, coach teams on modern mobile development techniques and foster innovation.
• Prioritize quality, performance, security and user experience throughout the software lifecycle.
• Monitor competitor products and Android ecosystem trends to guide superior design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering disciplines to deliver next‑generation solutions.
• Act as a senior consultant on large projects influencing long‑term business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 7 years focused on native Android development.
• Proven track record of leading complex, high‑visibility projects and mentoring technical teams.

Required skills

• Expert‑level Kotlin and Java programming.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK and native Android development.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, MVI architectural patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with software architecture, performance optimization, security best practices and user‑experience considerations.
