Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist will work full‑time on‑site at Nawala Group’s facility in Malabe, providing accurate medication dispensing, prescription review, and patient counseling while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and review prescriptions for interactions.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
• Maintain up‑to‑date patient records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory: ordering, receiving, checking expiry dates, and stock rotation.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and support treatment plans.
• Oversee pharmacy assistants and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.

Required profile

• Recognized degree in Pharmacy with current registration or eligibility for registration.
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge (pharmacology, therapeutics, drug interactions).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage priorities and contribute to a team‑oriented culture.
• Prior experience in a community or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
