Payroll Specialist – Sri Lanka & MEA

About the role

The Payroll Specialist will operate end‑to‑end payroll services for Sri Lanka and a portfolio of Middle East and Africa (MEA) countries. Reporting to the Regional Payroll Leader, the role ensures payroll is accurate, compliant and delivered on time while enhancing the employee and stakeholder experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate payroll activities across Sri Lanka and assigned MEA countries, from data input to finalization.
• Validate payroll data, review outputs and resolve discrepancies before payroll sign‑off.
• Manage payroll approvals, funding requirements and post‑payroll reconciliations.
• Handle employee payroll inquiries via ServiceNow, ensuring timely responses.
• Partner with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful payroll delivery.
• Monitor payroll service performance, KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain process documentation and support operational consistency.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and coordinate sustainable solutions.

Required profile

• Reports to the Regional Payroll Leader.
• Collaborates with Human Resources, Finance, Tax, Benefits, Technology and external payroll providers.
• Responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll across multiple countries.
