Painter

About the role

The Painter will maintain and enhance the interior and exterior finishes of The Kingsbury hotel, ensuring a luxurious appearance that meets the brand’s high standards. Working closely with maintenance and housekeeping, the role supports guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality paint work with minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming for paint application.
• Mix, match and apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Perform touch-ups and minor repairs such as filling cracks, patching holes and basic plastering.
• Inspect walls and fixtures for damage and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate work schedules with maintenance and housekeeping to limit guest impact.
• Maintain records of completed tasks and follow work orders.
• Adhere to health, safety and hotel safety protocols, including proper PPE use.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in surface preparation, paint application and finishing for interior and exterior areas.
• Ability to carry out minor repairs with attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of paint types, colour matching and appropriate tools.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices and safe material handling.
• Ability to read work orders, manage time effectively and keep accurate records.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed.
