About the role
A leading apparel manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure efficient production, productivity, quality and timely delivery of knit products. The position is based in Kurnagala District, Sri Lanka.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day manufacturing operations.
- Drive production efficiency, productivity and operational performance.
- Monitor production output, quality, capacity and delivery targets.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery and other production resources.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Production, Planning, IE, Quality, Technical and Merchandising teams.
Required profile
- Strong apparel manufacturing experience (mandatory).
- Knit product experience (mandatory).
- Proven experience in operations/production management.
- Strong understanding of apparel manufacturing processes and operational KPIs.
- Experience managing production teams and manufacturing operations.
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
