Office 365 Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Intervest is looking for an Office 365 Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, administer and support the Microsoft 365 platform across the organisation. The role ensures secure, reliable and efficient collaboration services for all users. You will work closely with other IT teams to deliver technical projects and provide third‑line support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) – users, groups, licensing and authentication.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and device compliance.
• Implement Microsoft Defender security solutions and support Microsoft Purview compliance, retention and data governance.
• Handle mail flow, connectors, transport rules and email security settings.
• Configure MFA, SSPR and identity lifecycle processes.
• Monitor service health, troubleshoot performance issues and recommend improvements.
• Manage certificates, DNS records and integrations with Microsoft 365.
• Participate in project delivery, technical change implementation and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 services and managing user licences.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Purview.
• Ability to configure MFA, SSPR and manage identity lifecycle.
• Experience with mail flow configuration, transport rules and email security.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for Microsoft 365 performance and service issues.
