Nursing and Wellness Officer

About the role

The Nursing and Wellness Officer provides immediate medical care, manages the school sick room, and promotes health and wellness among students and staff. This role ensures a safe, healthy environment and supports the overall well‑being of the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first aid and basic nursing care for injuries, illnesses, and emergencies.
• Oversee daily operations of the sick room, maintaining cleanliness, stock of medicines, and infection‑control standards.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records and monitor students with chronic conditions.
• Plan and conduct health awareness programs, screenings, vaccinations, and wellness initiatives.
• Provide guidance on physical and emotional well‑being, offering basic counseling and referrals.
• Ensure compliance with school health policies, safety standards, and coordinate with parents, healthcare providers, and emergency services.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in nursing or a related healthcare field.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification (RN qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, school nursing, child care, or a related area.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate, patient, service‑oriented approach.
