NOC Services Engineer – Monitoring & Automation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced NOC Services Engineer to own monitoring, alert management and incident assessment across multiple client environments. The role focuses on distinguishing genuine incidents from false positives, prioritising based on business impact and driving automation to reduce manual remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess alerts across client systems, determine severity and business impact.
• Prioritise concurrent alerts, reduce noise by refining thresholds and monitoring logic.
• Escalate incidents to senior resources when deeper investigation is required.
• Develop role‑based monitoring for servers, endpoints, network devices and security systems.
• Use PowerShell and automation to remediate recurring issues and minimise manual effort.
• Track patch compliance, backup health and endpoint security status.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of MSP NOC or infrastructure experience.
• Strong L2–L3 troubleshooting ability with independent alert assessment.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Certificate Services.
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewall rule interpretation).
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V or VMware) and monitoring platforms.
