MSP Technology Operations Specialist (SolarWinds)

About the role

The MSP Technology Operations Specialist is the technical subject‑matter expert for Jolera’s SolarWinds platform. You will lead onboarding, administration, monitoring and continuous improvement of SolarWinds across managed‑service environments, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the SolarWinds platform, including configuration, licensing, polling engines, templates, alerts, dashboards and reports.
• Own technical onboarding of client infrastructure, configuring monitoring for servers, network devices, applications, storage and virtualization.
• Design, implement and fine‑tune monitoring and alerting, reducing false positives and filling coverage gaps.
• Perform platform maintenance, upgrades, patches and drive performance, scalability and reliability improvements.
• Develop automation using SolarWinds APIs, PowerShell and scripting, and integrate with PSA, ITSM, RMM and CMDB systems.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for SolarWinds issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards and best practices aligned with security and change‑management policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience administering SolarWinds in an enterprise, MSP or NOC environment.
• Proven ability to onboard and monitor diverse IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices and applications.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
