Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Coordinator

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Coordinator will support World Vision Lanka in building a robust MEAL system that demonstrates program impact and ensures accountability to donors and communities. The role involves designing and implementing monitoring frameworks, analysing data, and facilitating learning across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll out Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) plans aligned with programme objectives.
• Track project indicators in a database, ensuring regular data collection, verification and analysis.
• Support qualitative data gathering, conduct field visits and strengthen data systems with ADP teams and partners.
• Prepare donor reports, visual data presentations and knowledge products.
• Lead baseline and evaluation studies, including sampling, data collection, entry, analysis and reporting.
• Facilitate annual community review processes and establish accountability mechanisms at the Primary Focus Area level.
• Document and share cross‑learning with relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in MEAL or donor‑funded projects and community development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Management, International Development or a related field.
• Strong report‑writing ability and excellent written and oral communication in English and Sinhala.
• Willingness to travel for field visits and occasional trips to the national office.
