Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Intervest is seeking a Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, administer and optimise its Azure cloud environment. The role will ensure secure, scalable and resilient hosting platforms for the company’s diverse portfolio of InsurTech, TravelTech, Retail and Logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure infrastructure components.
• Deploy and support Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Manage Azure networking – VNets, NSGs, route tables, Azure Firewall and load balancers.
• Configure Azure Storage, Backup and Site Recovery solutions.
• Set up Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and alerting.
• Design high‑availability and disaster‑recovery architectures.
• Administer Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities and RBAC.
• Optimise Azure costs through monitoring and right‑sizing.
• Support migrations from on‑premises to Azure.
• Maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Provide third‑line technical support and contribute to project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security and governance.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure migration, backup and disaster‑recovery.
• Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
