Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop reliable mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate product requirements into manufacturable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, sub‑assemblies and complete box builds using 3D CAD.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles and perform tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective, reliable designs.
• Conduct mechanical calculations, simulations and FEA as needed.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, prototyping, testing and production introduction.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support prototype builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 + years of product design experience.
• Proven experience with DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning.
• Ability to work through the full product development cycle.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software and engineering drawing preparation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as CNC machining, sheet‑metal fabrication, injection molding, die casting and 3D printing.
• Experience with FEA tools for structural or dynamic analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 quality standards.
