Marketing & Strategic Support Manager (Deputy)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated, result‑driven professional to lead marketing and strategic support for our agricultural solutions portfolio. The role will drive brand presence, product adoption and market growth across Sri Lanka’s farming sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate marketing activities across product lines and market segments, guiding the marketing team.
• Design initiatives to increase market share, strengthen brand presence and drive product adoption.
• Collaborate with sales, technical and commercial teams to identify and act on market development opportunities.
• Plan product positioning, go‑to‑market launches and farmer‑focused training programmes.
• Implement field demonstrations, awareness programmes, dealer activities and BTL campaigns.
• Enhance digital and social media presence through targeted content and promotional campaigns.
• Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis and industry trend assessments, providing actionable recommendations.
• Identify emerging customer needs, agricultural trends and new product opportunities.
• Develop POS materials, product communications and marketing collateral.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare improvement reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, farmers and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• BSc in Agriculture, Agricultural Science or equivalent.
• Additional qualification in Marketing, Business Management or Strategic Management is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in agro‑input industry (agro‑chemicals, seeds, fertilizers, etc.).
• Experience in rural agricultural marketing, BTL promotions, farmer engagement and market development.
• Proven ability to develop marketing strategies and conduct competitor analysis.
