Marketing Officer – Liability Sales

About the role

The Marketing Officer – Liability Sales is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Colombo. The role focuses on driving growth of liability products such as current accounts, savings accounts and fixed deposits by identifying and engaging prospective individual and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective individual and corporate clients to promote liability products.
• Conduct client visits, prepare proposals and collaborate with branch and product teams to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions and follow‑up activities.
• Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies and banking regulations.
• Provide regular performance reports, competitor insights and identify opportunities for new or enhanced liability products.

Required profile

• G.C.E A/L qualification; school leavers and freshers are encouraged to apply.
• Marketing and sales skills with experience in promoting financial products and managing client portfolios.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Planning skills including market research, data interpretation and execution of targeted sales plans.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize tasks and manage field visits.
• A diploma in Marketing, Business Management or related field is beneficial.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and a strong ethical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results‑driven attitude and willingness to travel within Colombo and surrounding areas.
