Marketing Manager – Student Placement

About the role

The Marketing Manager will drive digital and offline initiatives to promote IDP's Student Placement business in Sri Lanka. You will be accountable for web traffic, enquiries and qualified leads, while developing strategies that improve ROI and increase market share.

Key responsibilities

• Strategise and execute paid search and paid social campaigns to generate leads and promote events.
• Manage and optimise PPC campaigns to increase website traffic and online visibility.
• Coordinate email marketing programmes with internal teams to engage prospects.
• Collaborate with call‑centre teams for lead qualification and quality monitoring.
• Analyse campaign data to make data‑driven decisions and measure effectiveness.
• Plan, organise and execute events from concept to completion, handling logistics, vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
• Support local branches in event execution and related marketing activities.
• Track lead generation from events and campaigns and develop strategies to maximise conversion and retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of digital marketing experience with a proven record of driving online business and improving conversion rates.
• Hands‑on experience managing search marketing, email, social media, SEO and display advertising with measurable results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Deep understanding of paid social advertising, audience research and ROI optimisation.
• Analytical mindset with experience using Google Analytics and other data‑analysis tools.
