Marine Surveyor – Multidiscipline (Colombo, Sri Lanka)

About the role

Join a leading maritime certification organisation as a Marine Surveyor, focusing on ships in service, marine & offshore equipment and new‑construction projects. You will work from the Colombo office, supporting fleet management, classification and statutory certification activities under the supervision of the Ship in Service Operational Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out surveys of ships in service and produce reports in line with Bureau Veritas procedures.
• Assess survey conditions, advise operational managers, and ensure quality of services.
• Perform inspections of marine and offshore equipment and new‑construction vessels as assigned.
• Prepare and submit records, certificates and invoices, and maintain quality documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years sailing experience with ship repair background.
• Preferably hold an MEO Class I or Class II certificate and have worked as a marine surveyor for an IACS society.
• Proven technical knowledge of maritime regulations, classification rules and Bureau Veritas standards.
• Willingness to travel within India and on‑board assignments as required.
