Manager – Talent & Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Talent & Development to lead talent development and capability‑building initiatives for our Sales function within the insurance and financial services sector. The role combines deep HR expertise with a strong understanding of sales environments to translate business goals into effective people‑development strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement talent development strategies aligned with sales business objectives.
• Identify capability gaps and design targeted learning and development programmes.
• Lead onboarding, induction, and continuous development initiatives for sales teams.
• Partner with sales leadership to identify high‑potential talent and career development opportunities.
• Create and maintain competency frameworks, career pathways, and succession plans.
• Monitor training effectiveness and evaluate learning outcomes using relevant KPIs.
• Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal and external training partners to deliver high‑quality programmes.
• Analyse talent and performance data to provide actionable insights to management.
• Foster a strong learning culture and continuously improve sales capability and productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR, or Sales Capability Development.
• Prior experience supporting or developing sales teams is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of talent management, learning methodologies, performance management, and competency development.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
