About the role

The Manager – Robotics & Smart Home Solutions will lead the creation and growth of a new business line, bringing innovative robotics and smart‑home products to the Sri Lankan market. This role combines product strategy, supplier partnership development, and the building of a dedicated sales and service organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a product strategy aligned with overall retail and business objectives.
• Identify emerging technologies and market opportunities with strong commercial potential.
• Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with reputable international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Conduct supplier due diligence covering quality, certifications, pricing, production capacity and after‑sales support.
• Select suitable products for the Sri Lankan market and assess commercial viability.
• Lead end‑to‑end New Product Introduction (NPI) from selection and negotiation through importation, market testing, launch and retail rollout.
• Create and execute a business plan and commercial strategy, setting revenue, margin and growth targets.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, minimum order quantities, warranties and exclusivity arrangements.
• Build and manage a dedicated sales function, including targets, training programmes and performance metrics.
• Establish after‑sales service, technical support and warranty infrastructure, ensuring teams have necessary documentation and spare parts.
• Monitor global trends, competitor offerings and consumer behaviour to translate them into market opportunities.
