Manager, Financial Accounting and Control

About the role

The Manager, Financial Accounting & Control leads the delivery of financial reporting and control services for the Finance General Accounting Team, supporting subsidiaries of the London Stock Exchange Group. The role focuses on centralised processes, continuous improvement, and onboarding new activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate fixed‑asset accounting in line with global policies and standards.
• Identify risks and process gaps, propose and implement remedial actions.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controls team to uphold the Financial Controls Framework.
• Meet tight reporting and audit deadlines, supporting internal and external audit procedures.
• Onboard new scope and align it to the standard operating model.
• Maintain robust balance‑sheet controls and develop KPI dashboards for team performance.
• Design training materials for new team members and build succession plans.
• Liaise with Finance Systems Support to drive system improvements.
• Participate in group projects, change‑management initiatives, and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Degree in a related field and/or professional accounting qualification.
• 6‑8 years of post‑qualification experience in finance, preferably within a shared‑services environment.
• Proven track record managing Fixed Asset Registers and handling asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, disposals, and impairments.
• Experience supporting audit processes and preparing asset‑related schedules.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts and financial controls.

• Oracle Fusion Fixed Assets reporting.
• Large‑scale ERP migration experience (focus on Fixed Assets).
