Manager - Economics

About the role

We are looking for a Manager to lead economics and development engagements, overseeing the full project lifecycle from scoping and work‑plan design through analysis, reporting and presentation. The role involves ownership of scope, quality, budget, timelines, risks and issue resolution while supporting business development and ensuring divisional planning and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and economics engagements from scoping and work‑plan design through analysis, reporting, and presentation.
• Take ownership of scope, quality, budget, timelines, risks, and issue resolution.
• Conduct economic, sector, market, and development‑impact analysis.
• Develop economic and financial models.
• Lead fieldwork, stakeholder engagement, workshops, and data collection.
• Support business development and proposals.
• Oversee divisional planning, reporting, and quality compliance.

Required profile

• Completed bachelor’s degree in economics, Development Economics, or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree in economics or development studies is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in development/economic advisory or an equivalent industry role.
• Experience in management consulting, development or economic advisory, or equivalent industry roles.
• Exposure to government, donor, and private‑sector assignments.
• Experience in macro‑economic, sector, market, development‑impact, monitoring and evaluation, or impact‑assessment.
