Manager - Compliance & EHS

About the role

The Manager – Compliance & EHS is responsible for formulating, implementing and sustaining health, safety, environmental and compliance standards across the plant. The role ensures alignment with legal, customer and organizational requirements while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute EHS & Compliance action plans in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Recommend and implement improvements to procedures, standards and social compliance requirements.
• Maintain and sustain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and other customer audit requirements.
• Prepare plant‑specific budgets for environment, health & safety initiatives.
• Conduct unannounced inspections, audits and mock surveys to assess readiness and identify corrective actions.
• Manage external customer audits such as NIKE, HIGG, SMETA, CK and ensure compliance.
• Document and report investigations, findings, recommendations and progress of statutory monitoring.
• Provide training, awareness sessions and knowledge sharing on EHS and compliance topics.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Professional certifications covering health, safety, fire, environment, labor compliance and legal aspects (preferred).
• 6‑8 years of industrial experience with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Hands‑on experience with fire safety, health & safety, labor compliance and environmental management systems.
