Manager – Audit Quality Monitoring

About the role

The Manager – Audit Quality Monitoring will lead independent quality monitoring and inspections of audit firms, ensuring compliance with established quality standards. The role supports continuous improvement of audit practices and builds confidence among stakeholders. It reports directly to senior audit leadership within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent quality monitoring and inspections of audit firms in line with SLSQM.
• Analyse inspection findings, identify non‑compliance and quality gaps.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain quality monitoring documentation.
• Support the implementation of quality management processes across audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and relevant stakeholders on quality matters.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and promote audit best practices.
• Design and deliver training and awareness programmes for audit teams.
• Support initiatives that strengthen audit quality and stakeholder confidence.

Required profile

• Member of a professional finance body (CA Sri Lanka) with a minimum of 8 years post‑qualification experience in an audit environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and practices.
• Proven leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with audit partners and other stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
