Management Accountant

About the role

Custom Denning Sri Lanka is establishing its finance function and seeks a Management Accountant to join the new Sri Lankan office. You will work across the group’s businesses, supporting the Financial Controller and contributing to the company’s growth as a key member of the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller with management accounting tasks across the group.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end reporting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Conduct inventory analysis, financial analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain financial models, including 5‑year budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, loan and payroll schedules.
• Oversee payroll, trade and asset finance loan books, and ensure compliance with bank covenants.
• Handle invoicing, accounts‑payable approvals, cash‑flow management and local/international payments.
• Lead ERP and system implementation projects (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O or similar).
• Identify and apply AI tools to improve finance process efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor the accounts team and liaise with stakeholders across the group.
• Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified or part‑qualified in CIMA, CA or CPA (Australia).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large corporate or overseas business using a major ERP.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, especially work‑in‑progress (WIP).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP implementations, ideally Microsoft Dynamics D365 F&O, Business Central or Navision.
• Confidence in using AI tools to enhance finance processes.
