Maintenance Officer

About the role

Our client is seeking a responsible and reliable Maintenance Officer to join the Operations team in Colombo. The role involves handling day‑to‑day maintenance tasks across multiple workspaces, ensuring issues are identified, resolved efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and handyman tasks.
• Inspect reported issues, propose practical solutions and carry out corrective actions.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and maintain records.
• Coordinate with external technicians or contractors for specialist work.
• Respond promptly to urgent operational and maintenance requests, working on assigned shifts.
• Maintain tools, equipment and documentation in an organized manner.
• Support the upkeep of client office spaces, ensuring work is completed safely, neatly and professionally.

Required profile

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, hotels, apartments or offices.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work rotating morning or evening shifts.
