About the role
Lanka Law Chambers is building a technology‑enabled legal practice in Sri Lanka. As a Legal Technology Paralegal you will work alongside lawyers and legal consultants, combining traditional legal research with AI‑driven tools to support a modern, data‑rich approach to legal services.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using the LankaLaw LegalTech platform and other authoritative sources.
- Research Sri Lankan Acts, Amendments, Bills, Gazettes, Regulations, and court judgments.
- Prepare case briefs, research notes, and summaries.
- Assist with contract and document review, and support corporate, commercial, and regulatory research.
- Use AI tools to identify, organise, and analyse relevant legal information.
- Support lawyers in case preparation and maintain digital legal records.
- Monitor developments in Sri Lankan legislation and case law.
Required profile
- LL.B or equivalent legal qualification.
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
- Good knowledge of the Sri Lankan legal system.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to work with emerging technologies.
Required skills
- Proficiency with digital research tools.
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted legal platforms.
