Legal Officer

About the role

Steradian Capital Investments Ltd is seeking a qualified Legal Officer to support its real‑estate advisory business in Sri Lanka. The role involves drafting legal agreements, providing commercial legal support across projects, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft a wide variety of legal agreements.
• Assist the Head of Legal on corporate legal issues and business matters.
• Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects and functions.
• Monitor and maintain required legal records.
• Perform administrative and secretarial duties as directed by the Head of Legal.
• Help develop guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Analyse and review legal agreements, legislation, and documents for the Board.
• Ensure internal and external compliance with established policies; investigate non‑compliance issues.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by senior legal management.

Required profile

• Attorney‑at‑Law qualification, preferably with a graduate degree in law.
• Notary experience is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar legal role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Sinhala or Tamil is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and company law.
• Good research abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Motivated team player with the ability to multi‑task.
