Legal Officer

About the role

The Legal Officer will join Steradian Capital Investments, a consultancy focused on foreign investment and corporate services in Sri Lanka. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will support corporate legal matters, draft commercial agreements, and ensure compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial legal agreements.
• Assist the Head of Legal with corporate legal issues and board documentation.
• Provide commercial legal support to all departmental projects.
• Maintain and monitor legal files, records, and compliance documentation.
• Perform administrative secretarial duties as directed.
• Help develop internal guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Investigate and address instances of non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified Attorney‑at‑Law with a graduate degree in law.
• Mandatory Notary licence; Notary public status preferred.
• Registered Company Secretary is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar legal role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Sinhala/Tamil a plus.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
• Good research abilities and the capacity to work independently.
