Legal Manager

About the role

The Legal Manager will oversee all legal and regulatory matters for Gamage Recruiters Pvt Ltd, ensuring that the company’s recruitment and executive search activities comply with Sri Lankan law. The role provides legal advice to senior management, drafts and reviews contracts, and monitors legislative changes that could impact the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day legal affairs and provide guidance to management.
• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain contracts, employment documents and other legal paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with corporate, employment, commercial and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and advise on legal risks related to recruitment, client engagements and business operations.
• Develop and implement internal legal and compliance policies.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and advise on their impact.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board documentation.
• Coordinate with external attorneys, legal consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, legal documents and regulatory correspondence.
• Provide practical legal advice to various departments to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified Attorney‑at‑Law in Sri Lanka.
• LLB from a recognized university (preferred).
• 5–7 years of active professional legal experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
• Strong analytical, communication and confidentiality skills.
