Lead UI Designer

About the role

The Lead UI Designer will own the end‑to‑end design process for our products, from user research and problem framing to polished user interfaces. You will shape AI‑enabled experiences that are clear, trustworthy, and keep users in control while aligning product and brand through a shared design system.

Key responsibilities

• Run the full design process for our products, from research and problem framing through interaction design to detailed, polished UI.
• Design AI‑enabled features so users understand system actions, trust outputs, and stay in control.
• Steward the shared design system with marketing, contributing components and patterns that keep product and brand in step.
• Choose design tools and shape workflow so designers and engineers work from a single source of truth.
• Guide multiple engineering teams on design implementation, pair on UI work, and occasionally contribute directly in the codebase.
• Raise the craft bar across research, interaction, and visual design, and coach team members as the group grows.

Required profile

• Hands‑on across the full design process, delivering strong work at each stage from research to finished UI.
• Design usable, trustworthy experiences for AI‑powered products, handling uncertainty, model output, and human oversight.
• Build and maintain a design system in partnership with a marketing‑owned brand, keeping product and brand consistent as they evolve.
• Choose and set up design tools and workflow, enabling designers and engineers to be productive.
• Partner closely with several engineering teams, reviewing implementation and sometimes building directly in the codebase to ensure consistent shipping.
