Lead System Engineer / Architect – OSS (AI‑Driven Telecom)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead System Engineer / Architect to drive the design, transformation, and continuous evolution of next‑generation Operations Support System (OSS) platforms. This strategic role focuses on AI‑powered operations, intelligent automation, and digital transformation to create scalable, resilient, and future‑ready telecom environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and transformation of OSS platforms with a strong emphasis on AI‑driven operations and autonomous network strategies.
• Define OSS architecture standards, governance frameworks, and AI integration models.
• Drive cloud modernization, platform consolidation, predictive analytics, and intelligent orchestration initiatives.
• Design and implement AI‑powered capabilities such as predictive maintenance, fault detection, anomaly detection, root‑cause analysis, service assurance, and self‑healing network operations.
• Integrate OSS platforms with AI/ML engines, observability platforms, network elements, IT systems, and third‑party applications using API‑driven and event‑driven architectures.
• Evaluate and implement modern automation, orchestration, observability, and operational tools to support 24/7 intelligent network operations.
• Ensure OSS platforms remain highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient through proactive monitoring and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and technology partners to deliver innovative OSS solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and operational governance.
• Lead continuous innovation through advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI to improve operational efficiency and network intelligence.

Required profile

• BSc Engineering (Hons) in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline (MSc a plus).
• 4+ years of experience in OSS, telecom operations, or system architecture.
• Strong understanding of OSS architecture, telecom operations, and service assurance platforms.
• Experience with system integration, APIs, middleware technologies, and enterprise architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML‑driven operations, predictive analytics, and autonomous network concepts is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, and modern network technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with automation, orchestration, and analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with ITIL, operational governance, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, incident management, and problem‑solving skills.
