Lead Security Engineer

About the role

The Lead Security Engineer will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by securing cloud and on‑premises environments, managing endpoint and email security, and driving threat detection, incident response, and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts using Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
• Manage endpoint and email security with Microsoft Defender and Intune.
• Develop automation playbooks for incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation activities.
• Apply IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust security principles.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate security tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in security operations, including cloud and endpoint security.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Intune.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, vulnerability management, IAM, RBAC, and network security.
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with KQL for Azure Sentinel and Logic Apps for security automation is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ‑500, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty are advantageous.
