Lead Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate scalable cloud platforms for our global teams. You will drive automation, security and reliability across Azure services while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure cloud platforms using Terraform, Crossplane, AKS, Azure Container Apps and shared DevOps pipelines.
• Develop reusable C# and Python libraries to enable self‑service automation for developers.
• Embed security into pipelines with SAST/DAST, Azure governance policies, secret management and automated scanning.
• Implement SRE practices – SLOs/SLIs, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, post‑mortems and automation.
• Drive cost efficiency through tagging, budget alerts, anomaly detection and automated rightsizing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, resolve incidents, maintain documentation and provide high‑quality operational support.

Required profile

• 5‑15 years of hands‑on experience in Azure cloud and DevOps engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex platform projects in a hybrid work environment.

• Azure services: AKS, Azure Container Apps, VNets, ACR, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts.
• Kubernetes (deployments, StatefulSets, RBAC, network policies), Helm, Docker, image scanning/signing, Pod Security Standards.
• ArgoCD (App of Apps, ApplicationSets, Rollouts), Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, Azure Boards, semantic versioning, trunk‑based development.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (modules, state), Crossplane (XRDs, Compositions, Claims).
• Scripting and automation: Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, kubectl, git, Docker.
• Security tooling: Snyk, SonarQube, Azure Key Vault, workload identity, CI/CD vulnerability scanning.
• Database experience: Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, schema design, migrations, private‑endpoint connectivity.
