Laundry Attendant (Full‑time, On‑site)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team in Colombo. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling all aspects of linen and uniform care, ensuring items are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and prepare linens, uniforms and other washable items according to type, colour and care instructions.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, irons and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fold, organise and store cleaned items to keep the laundry area tidy.
• Inspect items for damage or stains, apply appropriate stain‑removal techniques, and report any issues.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition and follow all safety and hygiene protocols.
• Support overall cleanliness standards within the facility.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry laundry loads, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Good physical stamina and basic time‑management skills.
• Commitment to hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards.
• Clear communication in a common working language and professional interaction with colleagues.
• Prior experience in laundry services, housekeeping or facility support is an advantage but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, irons, pressing tools).
• Sorting fabrics and treating stains according to care labels.
• Attention to detail for quality inspection and inventory organisation.
