Junior Executive – Sales and Business Development

About the role

The Junior Executive – Sales and Business Development will support Lakru Packaging Industries in expanding its market for kraft paper and flexible packaging solutions. Based in Moratuwa, the role focuses on generating new business, managing client relationships, and assisting senior management with sales strategy execution.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets, generate and qualify leads, and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Engage with prospective and existing clients, prepare and present tailored proposals, and follow up on inquiries to convert leads into orders.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies for kraft paper and flexible packaging solutions, aligning with market demands.
• Maintain accurate sales records, coordinate closely with production and logistics teams, and monitor market trends to inform decision‑making.
• Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior management, and actively participate in client meetings and field visits.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability in new business development, lead generation, and account management to drive revenue growth.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting solutions clearly and collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers.
• Basic knowledge of the packaging or manufacturing industry and a solid understanding of sales processes and customer service.
• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in common office software such as Microsoft Office suite.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; internship or entry‑level experience in sales or business development is preferred.
