Junior Conveyancer

About the role

Our client is looking for a proactive Junior Conveyancer to support daily conveyancing operations. You will assist in preparing and reviewing legal documents for property transactions, coordinate with clients, banks and authorities, and manage cases from initiation to completion while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess legal and technical aspects of conveyancing cases and determine required actions.
• Manage assigned cases from start to finish, ensuring timely progress and client accountability.
• Communicate with clients, banks, solicitors and other stakeholders via email and telephone in line with service level agreements.
• Prepare, review and maintain legal documents, records and case files with high accuracy.
• Update the case management system to keep all case information current.
• Liaise with internal support teams to facilitate smooth progression of matters.
• Participate in weekly and ad‑hoc meetings with senior management to provide updates and discuss improvements.

Required profile

• LLB qualification from a recognized university or currently part‑qualified in Law.
• Fluent in Sinhala and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay flexible and meet critical deadlines.
• Proactive problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
