Junior Call Center Executive

About the role

Formix is seeking a Junior Call Center Executive to join its Colombo office. This full‑time, on‑site position involves handling both inbound and outbound calls, providing accurate information to candidates, clients and other stakeholders, and supporting the company’s recruitment and sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and place calls, respond to queries and deliver clear information.
• Update candidate and client records in internal systems following SOPs.
• Coordinate with recruitment teams and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Support sales and marketing campaigns through effective call handling.
• Meet performance targets while maintaining confidentiality and a professional, empathetic service attitude.

Required profile

• Strong customer support and service skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English, active listening and telephone etiquette.
• Familiarity with contact‑center environments, call scripts and workflows.
• Sales‑related abilities such as persuasion and relationship‑building.
• Prior experience in a call centre, BPO or client‑facing role is advantageous.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Colombo with flexible shift availability.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Basic computer literacy, including email, office applications and data entry.
• Relevant diploma or degree in business, communications or equivalent experience.
