Junior Business Development Executive

About the role

The Junior Business Development Executive will work full‑time on‑site in Colombo, supporting Yara Technologies’ growth in the education sector. Yara Technologies develops education‑focused technology products in close collaboration with partnering educational institutions. The company creates tools that address operational and learning challenges in schools and other educational institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
• Support lead generation campaigns to drive growth.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Maintain and grow relationships with partner institutions.
• Coordinate meetings and product demos.
• Follow up on inquiries to move prospects through the sales pipeline.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of sales activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum one year of work experience in sales, marketing or the education segment.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with educational institutions and internal stakeholders.
