About the role
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the computer and network infrastructure of our clients. You will provide both internal and external assistance, ensuring minimal impact on business operations during outages.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with ISP vendors to resolve WAN issues.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN problems based on client reports.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers (4431, 4351, 3925, 2900 series) and switches (3750, 2960, 9000 series).
- Set up and maintain wireless networks using Ruckus and Aruba equipment.
- Use monitoring tools such as PRTG, Nagios, and Cacti to keep network devices healthy.
- Provide support for Windows OS, iMac, VMware servers, printers, RDP, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Manage user permissions on file servers and administer Windows Server 2012 and Active Directory.
- Implement network security features including port security, VLANs, DHCP, EtherChannel, HSRP, ACLs, NAT/PAT, VPN, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS).
- Maintain NAS, Synology, and other backup solutions.
Required profile
- Graduate degree.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in IT support, networking, or related fields.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience handling client‑facing incidents.
Required skills
- Cisco routers and switches configuration.
- Ruckus and Aruba WLAN setup.
- Network monitoring tools: PRTG, Nagios, Cacti.
- Windows OS, iMac, VMware, Windows Server 2012, Active Directory.
- SNMP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, NetFlow.
- Printer, RDP, Microsoft Office support.
- Port security, VLAN, DHCP, EtherChannel, HSRP, L3 switching.
- IP addressing, subnetting, VLSM, ACL, NAT, PAT, VPN.
- Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS.
- NAS, Synology, backup solutions.
