IT Operations & Systems Manager

About the role

Oceans is seeking a dedicated IT Operations & Systems Manager to own the internal IT function for a bootstrapped, profitable performance‑marketing holding company. This fully remote, asynchronous role will build a scalable workplace‑technology environment from the ground up for a distributed workforce across 20+ countries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full device and endpoint lifecycle, including procurement, international shipping, MDM enrollment via Apple Business Manager, zero‑touch deployment, and hardware inventory tracking.
• Administer identity, access and security governance for Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, password managers and 40+ SaaS tools, handling MFA, SSO, permission reviews and daily security alerts.
• Own end‑to‑end employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring Day‑1 readiness, secure data wipes, and complete record‑keeping.
• Maintain SaaS inventory, vendor relationships, license utilization, renewal tracking and cost optimisation.
• Troubleshoot authentication, device and SaaS issues independently, leveraging AI tools for scripting and documentation.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on IT Operations, Systems Administration or internal Technical Support experience, preferably as the sole owner in a remote company of 50‑300 employees.
• Proven ability to work asynchronously, manage sensitive data with high trustworthiness, and continuously improve processes and SOPs.
