Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & On‑Premise

About the role

Our client, a well‑established IT services firm, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support both on‑premises and cloud infrastructure. The role works US hours on a roster basis and focuses on ensuring a secure, reliable and scalable environment for users and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers (Hyper‑V, AWS EC2) and ensure high availability, performance monitoring and patching.
• Manage backup and recovery using Veeam for virtual and physical workloads.
• Provision and manage AWS resources (EC2, RDS, S3/EBS) and monitor performance with CloudWatch.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, RBAC, MFA and conditional access policies.
• Handle endpoint security and compliance via Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender.
• Support VPN configurations, troubleshoot connectivity, and manage SonicWall firewalls, site‑to‑site VPNs, NAT and security policies.
• Maintain network infrastructure with UniFi switches and access points; monitor health with PRTG.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation using Rapid7.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint Online, and license/policy administration.
• Perform OS and application patching, incident response, root‑cause analysis and documentation of changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing hybrid (on‑premise and cloud) infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, Microsoft Azure AD, and Windows server ecosystems.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V) and backup solutions (Veeam).
• Familiarity with network security appliances (SonicWall) and UniFi networking gear.
• Ability to work US business hours on a rotating roster.
