Information Technology Officer – On-site in Kandy

About the role

The Information Technology Officer will be based on‑site in Kandy and will maintain and support Haira Farms' IT infrastructure. This full‑time position involves monitoring systems, providing technical support, and ensuring reliable, secure operations across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor computer systems, servers and network performance.
• Install and update software and hardware components.
• Provide technical support to internal users and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot IT incidents and manage user accounts and access rights.
• Ensure regular data backups, security measures and system reliability.
• Collaborate with management and operational teams to optimise technology use.
• Document IT procedures and assist in planning future upgrades.

Required profile

• Strong fundamentals in information technology with practical business experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and technical support abilities.
• Network administration skills for wired and wireless environments.
• System administration experience managing servers, user accounts and backups.
• Relevant diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Good communication, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, agriculture or food production is an advantage.
