In House Social Media & Content Creator

About the role

The In House Social Media & Content Creator will join MSA Travels & Tours in Colombo to develop and execute engaging social media content that showcases the company’s travel services and brand identity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and publish posts, captions, short videos and stories across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Coordinate photo and video shoots, and repurpose assets for multiple channels.
• Monitor social media performance using analytics tools, respond to audience interactions and report insights.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations teams to align campaigns with business objectives.
• Track travel and social media trends, maintain a consistent brand voice and contribute ideas for seasonal promotions.

Required profile

• Prior experience in social media management or content creation; experience in travel, tourism or hospitality is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working on‑site in Colombo and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Relevant education in marketing, communications, multimedia or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Use of analytics tools to measure engagement and conversion metrics.
• Copywriting for social posts and basic graphic design.
• Short‑form video creation and editing.
• Fundamental digital marketing knowledge, including campaign planning and audience targeting.
