Human Resources Officer – Colombo

About the role

Join the International Human Resources team of a leading aviation group as a Human Resources Officer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. You will support the end‑to‑end employee experience across multiple departments, including Commercial, Ground Services, Technical, Finance and Cargo, while contributing to the company’s ongoing growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a range of HR services to support employee experience across all departments.
• Support, develop and coach managers on employee relations issues, performance management, absence, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Case‑manage employee relations issues through to conclusion.
• Develop HR planning strategies with line managers for immediate and long‑term staffing needs.
• Advise managers on HR policies and processes to ensure fair and consistent decisions.
• Collaborate with HR centres of excellence to implement company‑wide initiatives in the region.
• Oversee administration of employment records, contracts, probation reports and termination checklists in compliance with local labour law and Qatar Airways standards.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and probationary reviews.
• Work with the local finance team on payroll management and reporting.
• Prepare HR reports and analytics for regional HR management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant HR experience.
• Experience in recruitment, performance management, benefits, payroll administration, disciplinary matters and providing HR advice to line managers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and government compliance regulations.
• Authorized to work lawfully in Sri Lanka (no visa sponsorship).
