Hot Range Commis II – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Hot Range Commis II is a full‑time, on‑site kitchen position at Emerald Bay Resort Mirissa. You will support the hot‑range chefs in preparing, cooking and presenting dishes that meet the resort’s high standards of quality, consistency and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs on the hot range by following recipes, portion controls and presentation guidelines.
• Prepare and organize mise en place, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
• Minimise waste through efficient use of ingredients and proper stock rotation.
• Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to deliver consistent, high‑quality dishes during busy service periods.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in hot‑kitchen operations within a hotel or resort environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, while maintaining a professional attitude under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, communication and time‑management skills.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction, attention to detail and high standards of personal grooming.
