Head of School – Academic Leader

About the role

The university is seeking a Head of School to provide strategic academic leadership for its School. This senior position will oversee academic programmes, research activities, faculty development and operational functions, ensuring excellence and an outstanding student experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set and drive the strategic direction of the School, aligning with university goals.
• Lead curriculum design, quality assurance and accreditation processes.
• Mentor, manage and develop academic faculty and staff.
• Promote and secure research funding, publications and international collaborations.
• Build and maintain partnerships with overseas universities and industry partners.
• Enhance student experience, graduate outcomes and employability.
• Represent the School at national and international forums.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in higher education, including senior academic leadership roles such as Dean, Head of School or Associate Dean.
• Demonstrated international academic experience.
• Strong record of research publications and successful grant acquisition.
• Proven ability in academic programme development and faculty management.
• Excellent strategic, communication and stakeholder management skills.
