Head of Sales & Commercial

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to head the field sales function for DSV in the designated country. Reporting to senior management, the Head of Sales & Commercial will drive growth, build high‑performing sales teams across branches and ensure compliance with corporate sales policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop branch, regional and country sales teams to achieve and exceed growth targets.
• Implement and monitor sales policies, processes and guidelines across all locations.
• Generate new business representing at least 15 % of the annual budgeted gross profit and volume.
• Achieve a 15 % increase in volume compared with the previous year for each field sales team.
• Ensure 90 % of sales staff meet their GP and volume budgets and maintain 100 % payment collection.
• Oversee implementation of MSD, SOP, IOP, customer service allocation, myDSV tool, CAF and auto‑rating for all customers.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Service, HR and Finance to foster strong inter‑departmental relationships.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Logistics (preferred).
• 15–18 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales budgets, volume growth and new‑business generation.
• Strong accountability, decision‑making and ability to drive innovation and change.

• Financial awareness and business acumen.
• Experience with sales tools and processes (e.g., myDSV, MSD, SOP, IOP).
