Head of Project Architect (High Rise Building)

About the role

The Head of Project Architect will lead the architectural delivery of high‑rise developments, guiding projects from concept through to tender documentation and construction supervision. This senior position requires strategic oversight, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and assurance that all designs meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse design briefs and cost data, producing preliminary feasibility reports.
• Provide architectural input from concept design to final tender drawings.
• Coordinate material submissions, approvals, and design clarifications during the tender stage.
• Review designs and advise management on architectural matters.
• Collaborate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and authorities to resolve design issues.
• Organise and supervise site teams, ensuring effective inspections.
• Manage information requests and follow‑up with consultants and authorities.
• Liaise with the Quantity Surveyor to assess project variations.
• Conduct site visits and assist with preliminary concept designs.
• Prepare feasibility reports covering development potential, parking, and key considerations.
• Oversee the drawing office, including archives, regulations, staff allocation, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and local authority requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of experience designing high‑rise buildings (20+ stories).
• Strong knowledge of material specifications and construction details.
• Proven ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
