Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM)

About the role

The Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) will lead NDB Investment Bank's ECM division, shaping strategy, driving execution of equity transactions and ensuring regulatory compliance. This senior position reports to senior management and works closely with Wealth Management, Securities and other business units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a diverse team of ECM professionals, fostering excellence and innovation.
• Define and drive the strategic development of the division’s product and client portfolio.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation, economic and statistical analysis for client pitches.
• Oversee regulatory engagement, implementation of frameworks and liaison with regulators.
• Partner with Wealth Management, Securities and other units to deliver joint client solutions.
• Assess and manage risk, ensuring compliance with laws, rules and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven track record in originating and executing ECM transactions.
• Strong expertise in equities and equity capital markets.
• Advanced capabilities in trading and market analysis.
• Deep knowledge of corporate finance, valuation and regulatory frameworks.
• Extensive experience in investments and portfolio management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field; postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIMA, ACCA) is an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
