Head of Enterprise Development & Sustainability

About the role

Sarvodaya, Sri Lanka's longest‑running community development movement, is seeking a senior leader to head its Enterprise Development & Sustainability function. The role will shape and professionalise a portfolio of social enterprises, farms and income‑generating assets that fund the movement’s mission for the next six decades.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead Sarvodaya’s overall Enterprise Development & Sustainability strategy.
• Translate approved enterprise strategies into detailed operational plans and ensure effective implementation across all enterprise units.
• Set and monitor business plans, budgets, revenue targets and key performance indicators for each enterprise.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Establish and continuously improve operational systems, standard operating procedures and quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture or Development Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple businesses, enterprises or operational units.
• Strong command of budgeting, financial analysis and performance management.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capability.
